Liverpool! They’re back! (Everton, too!) I’m not gonna be in the thread today. I’ll be watching the game with my dad via FaceTime/Zoom/whatever. But the threads have been lively enough recently that I figured some of you still might want a place to discuss the match. Here is your place to discuss the match. Happy Father’s Day to all you fathers.
Honestly that wasn't so different from a lot of the Merseyside derbies in recent memory? Lacked an absolutely heinous tackle that only got a yellow, but otherwise similarly lacking in scoring opportunities
liverpool -1, -113. ive racked up a bunch of free play dollars from using bitcoin on mybookie.ag since the restart (i've laughed to my self every time i've written a sentence including this info lately) so playing w/ free money (i understand it wasn't actually free) on this one
I think VVD prefers Gomez actually, Matip needs to get reestablished within the team, regardless of covid, plus our cb depth isn't spectacular, we can't just assume VVD will be available forever
Just a reminder that Everton rejected 85 mil from Barcelona for Richarlison in January
In the old market I kinda don't blame them. In the new market, man that sucks.
to be fair they did play martin braithwaite friday
I think he'd do well there... Would probably solve a lot of their problems

Minamino over salah? No Robertson? Gonna be interesting. (Slightly)
Excited to see Minamino, and Keita even moreso. If he can stay healthy, he could bring a lot to the team next year.
Biased as a Liverpool fan but really hope Keita can reproduce those bundesliga numbers.
I thought minamino would be a firmino swap, not a winger
I wonder if he actually plays on the left, which he did more of at Salzburg, and Mane plays on the right?
On the right, but wouldn't be surprised to see a switch or two.
Why are Everton keeping a player back in the box on these goal kicks? To draw Liverpool players away from the long ball landing area?
I think so. They tried to play it out and it was dicey, so maybe they're setting up that way and then boosting it
lets go!!
What was the spread my mab

*man
Surprised Matip seems to get the automatic start now that he’s fit. Gomez was in good form so much of the season.
Wonder how much input Van Dijk provides on that decision, if any.

Annnnnnd Matip goes down 😔
We've got 9 games to get 5 points. There will be some experimentation to see what next season looks like
That said, the top 11 will play when a win gets us the title
That makes sense. Particularly if it’s at Anfield.
I don't care how irrational it is I'm mad at Lovren for subbing on instead of Salah
not sure how irrational
Comical how quickly Lovren is called out. It's David Luiz-esque
Naby Keita is going for it all, what a volley flourish
I think no left footed players starting for LFC today (and Gomez in obviously doesn't change that).
I need an xG to real G analysis of Bobby. If that dude was bit better finishing he'd set records
Everton isn't even pretending to try and possess in midfield. It's long ball or bust
Honestly probably not a bad idea
Mane wanted that ball
